Los Angeles, CA Men’s Commercial Shoot

I was asked by Isaac Photography if I would style this men’s commercial shoot of course I was honored to take on the project being that this would be, I believe my first men’s shoot! Isaac then started emailing me the models comp cards to get an idea of their looks and we collaborated on ideas for this shoot and what he was going for. I then contacted Sterling Williams clothing line, and Puma to coordinate a time to pull clothes for this shoot having each model’s style and personality in mind it was easy to pull for this shoot. Sterling Williams being the more edgy and trendy style of choice and Puma for it’s sporty and casual attire I could place these boys in the right outfits! The day of the shoot I was sick but I handled it like a champ because it was this day that I discovered my passion, yes that was being in charge! I was the director of makeup, hair, and styling that day for the shoot and was loving every minute of it! Lets just say I had some great abs to look at! I came in strolling my rack of clothes previously picked out, makeup, and hair bag on location to this beautiful mansion in Hollywood Hills, where many videos and elaborate events take place! I directed each guy to what he would be wearing based on his own individual style that I felt was best. Each guy would arrive at a time slot, this day was organized and ran smoothly if I do say so myself. Starting with makeup Isaac had told me his vision for the all over look, he wanted flawless skin, defined bronzed cheekbones, groomed brows, and some eyeliner so that’s what I did. Then I did hair with some gels and crème pastes that I had, styled their outfit, and off they went for their shoot. I then had another guy in my chair and did it all over again! I have to say I really loved directing and hope to do it again soon! Oh wait a minute I actually did do this again now that I think of it makeup, hair, and wardrobe styling for this upcoming young singer with  celebrity photographer LeMar Johnson, but I have to get a hold of those pictures, which I think I lost the CD of pictures. Hmmmmmmmm

This facial begins with a thorough skin analysis and consultation with our esthetician. Next, a deep pore cleansing and a clarifying mask to control oils while reducing pore appearance, extractions and purification. Weddings

Weddings & Events In Albany, NY and Capital Region NY.
There is a minimum requirement of 4 people for each service, unless otherwise noted different in your agreement. A bridal deposit of $50 is required to hold your wedding date along with our wedding agreement.

We come to you at your home, hotel or salon.

Your makeup-artist will choose everything you need for a flawless face. Airbrush makeup is available if requested. Bridal makeup comes with a mini makeup touch up bag. Lipstick and gloss can be purchased for touch-ups during the day.

This is your day! Our makeup and hair artists will work with you to create a look to suit your style and personality. A preview session takes about 3 hours for both hair and makeup.

We only schedule previews on weekends if there are no weddings scheduled, which is rare. We often have Saturdays available for previews during January, February and March.

On wedding day, makeup usually takes 45 minutes for the bride and attendants. Hair usually takes 1 hour for an updo, half hour for a blow out. Total timing depends on size of the wedding party. Brides hair and makeup should be complete a half hour prior to the photographers arrival. Which is usually about 2 hours prior to the ceremony. We do not recommend that the bride goes last. Hair should be dry when you arrive. An additional $25 will be charged if we need to blow dry prior to your updo styling.

On wedding day, extra friends and family will be accommodated for last minute requests, only if time allows. (This happens to us all the time after seeing how beautiful everyone looks.)

It doesn’t matter which goes first, hair or makeup. We only shampoo if absolutely necessary the day of the wedding.

Preview sessions are highly recommended for all brides. Sundays and off site previews can be arranged for an additional fee.


Host a spa party! Nail services are available on location before your wedding day for your entire bridal party, get pampered in the comfort of your home or hotel with all your girlfriends together to share in on the fun! Manicures, pedicures, and gelish available

For additional pampering we can also provide on location massage services the day of your wedding to help relax you. $75 per hour with a minimum booking of two hours

Prom Is Here! Need some hair ideas?

Prom’s approaching and you have your perfect dress, nail polish picked out, and limo rented. What about your hair? Krystal Rose Studio has you covered with the hottest prom hairstyles.

 1. Chic ballerina bun with pouf: on clean dry hair, apply a small amount of pomade to the front portion of your hair to add a little shine and control.  Collect all the hair (what would be your bangs plus a little extra on the top) and pin with bobby pins to the crown of your head, leaving a little volume in the front. This is your “pouf”. Pull remaining hair into a low ponytail and secure with elastic. Wrap the ponytail around the elastic and secure with bobby pins. This is your ballerina bun. You may leave pieces out by your ears to soften the look. Use small amounts of pomade to smooth the bun or fly-aways. Works best with long, slim dresses or a short bubble dress.

2. Cascading waves: on clean dry hair, spritz thermal protector all over. In 1-2 inch sections, loosely wrap hair around 1 1/4 – 1 1/2 inch curling iron (depending on hair length). Leave each section on iron for 10-15 seconds then release. Don’t want to use heat? Set clean dry hair in large rollers and let set for 2 hours. Pin as desired or let fall naturally. Finish with hairspray to set curls. Works best for long fitted and short strapless dresses.

3. Side loose ponytail with curls: on clean dry hair wrap 1 inch sections around 1 inch curling iron. Once the entire hair is curled, tease 2-inch sections at the top of the head. Pull hair into a low ponytail just behind one of your ears and secure with thin elastic. Be sure to leave ponytail looses and somewhat messy; also be sure to cover any teased areas on the top of your head. Leave a few curls loose around the face to give the style a soft, relaxed feel. If desired, pin a flower or sparkly pin into the elastic. Finish with hairspray. Works best for any dress type.

4. High hot pony: Apply a small amount of shine serum to give hair a glossy look. Brush hair up into a high ponytail and secure with a thin elastic. Wrap a 1-inch section around elastic and secure with a bobby pin. Tease ponytail for volume and finish with hairspray to tame any stray hairs. Works best for long hair and long or short dresses.

5. Swept way: Spray curl spray through damp hair. Flip hair upside down and dry hair with a diffuse on your blow dryer to enhance curl. Scrunch hair as it’s drying. When dry, add a small amount of shine serum to polish hair. Flat iron the very front of hair to one side to create look-a-like bangs (skip this step if you already have side bangs). Grab the side swept part and secure to the side with bobby pins and cover pins with hair. Shape curls as desired with curling iron and finish with hairspray. Works best for any dress length.

6. The Bump: Add a golf ball sized amount of volume mousse to damp hair, flip hair upside down, and blow dry until dry. Hair should be big. Tease the roots on the top of your head with a teasing brush for big volume. Brush hair along hairline back to cover the teased parts. Pull 1-inch section above ears tightly back and pin just below the crown to keep the pouf in place. Brush remaining hair and leave down. Finish with hairspray. Works best for any dress.
